Love story
August 2019 - The Beginning
We first met during college, when Monica was in her 3rd semester and Alwi in his 7th. Though we went to different universities and majors, the universe somehow found a way to bring us together through shared interests. What we still remember clearly is our very first date at a coffee shop in Demangan, Jogja. Just like Taylor Swift’s lyric, “…but on a Wednesday, in a café, I watched it begin again,” that simple conversation between two students became the start of something new for both of us.
01.01.20 - The Seasons of Us Growing Together
New Year’s Eve marked the beginning of our relationship. With a panda doll in hand, Alwi confessed his feelings. From that day on, we officially became a couple. The years went by so quickly, we had spent almost six years growing together through laughter, lessons, and differences that sometimes felt big because of our different backgrounds.
08.08.25 - The Infinity Question
After much thought, we decided to make it forever in 2025. By the end of 2024, we shared our plan with our families, and they wholeheartedly gave us their blessings. Although we had already agreed to get married, Alwi still had one beautiful surprise in store. On the lovely date of 8.8, under the full moon, he proposed.
18.11.25 & 29.11.25 - The Road to Forever
We’ve been through a beautiful journey together, and now we’re stepping into a new chapter. The Sangjit will become a warm and meaningful moment for us and our families. Not long after, we’ll be saying our vows and beginning our lifelong journey. For us, love is about finding common ground and balance. And in all our differences, we found home in each other.
