How It All Began
When Our Paths Crossed
Our story began in 2016, during our university days where we met in a Christian fellowship group called Shamgar Navigator. Among all the memories we shared as friends, there was a simple act of kindness from Bagus which left a lasting impression for Pingkan. If you’re curious about that story, feel free to ask us directly as there isn’t enough space to write all the details here.
Becoming Us
Life took us on different journeys after we graduated. In 2023, we reconnected through several occasions which slowly brought us closer. From Bagus replying to Pingkan’s Instagram stories, to an evening run at GBK for our first date, and finally, to the moment we confessed our feelings to each other over the best chicken nanban in town.
The Yes Day
On our first anniversary, we decided to come to the exact same restaurant where our journey as a couple began to have the chicken nanban all over again. Little did Pingkan know, Bagus had already planned something far more special. Surrounded by her best friends, Bagus went down on one knee and asked her the biggest question of all. Yes, she said yes! No wonder Bagus kept telling her about the tummy ache he’d been feeling all day long.

And now, here we are writing this to you. Our wedding day is finally coming this October, and we can’t wait to see you there to share this beautiful moment together.
