This should be nominated as a Romance Novel-like story. Who would know my very first experience joining open trip to Mt. Sumbing led to a fateful encounter with mas Febri. A simple chit chat began with “dari mana mas?” somehow turned into fun convo, following each other socmed, and plans to do next trip together to another mountain.
In 2023, not even once we declared we’re in some kind of dating-ships. Everything just flowed naturally, slowly but surely. From a casual chatting friend to something more intense: random talks about animal, alien, universe, etc, or serious talk about social-politics, environmental issues, geology, etc. But in early 2024, we knew that we wanted something more serious in our relationship.
Beginning of 2025 consisted of hectic days at work, then suddenly I got admitted to hospital for 5 days because of TBC. Sounds suck? Ofc. But above anything else, my parents told me & mas Febri to get married real soon because they saw he always be there and care for me during difficult times. Weeks later, I went to Jogja with mas Febri and my friends. Under the disguise of trying the folk tale of crossing “alun-alun kidul Jogja”, where I walked through the path in the middle of yard with closed eyes, then I opened my eyes, he’s like “nikah yuk sama aku” with a cute cat-shaped ring offered before my eyes. Who would say no?
At last, here we are, in the beginning of a thrilling episode: marriage. What were thought will happen in 2-3 years to come, apparently shifted way earlier than expected. We’re anxious, but also excited of this real adventurous journey of life. Can’t wait for the upcoming stories!
