Josua and Kezia were introduced by their mutual friends, Alexandra and Rachel. Alexandra is Kezia’s childhood best friend, while Rachel is Josua’s junior from medical school. As cousins, Alexandra and Rachel decided to introduce Josua and Kezia in early 2023. At the time, Kezia was pursuing her master’s degree in Philadelphia, while Josua was working in Gorontalo. Josua followed Kezia on Instagram and soon began texting her. Despite the time difference and distance, they stayed connected through regular video calls.
Their courtship phase was brief but intentional. Just a few weeks after they started talking, Josua introduced Kezia to his parents, confident that she was the one he wanted to marry. After Kezia graduated and returned to Indonesia, Josua visited her in Bandung. On 1 July 2023, they officially became a couple. Since then, they have been in a long-distance relationship—initially between Philadelphia and Gorontalo, then Jakarta and Gorontalo, and now between Jakarta and Manado.
In February 2024, Josua was accepted into a residency program. Amid his demanding schedule, his desire to marry Kezia only grew stronger. On 26 November 2024, Josua proposed to Kezia in a personal and heartfelt moment. They were formally engaged on 8 June 2025, surrounded by both of their families.
After a journey of long-distance, countless calls, and prayers for the future, Josua and Kezia are finally tying the knot. They look forward to celebrating the day they say ‘I do’ and step into their next adventure—hand in hand, heart to heart.
