Nothing in this world truly happens by chance — everything has its own timing and reason. We first met when we were just sixth graders. Who would’ve thought that two shy kids at school would one day walk down the aisle together?
We officially started dating on August 14th, 2010 — our innocent first love that began with pure intentions and simple joy. The funny part is, during our early years in elementary and junior high, we barely met in person because we were both too shy. Most of our “relationship” happened through chat messages. Our first real meeting came in the second year of junior high, when we exchanged a gift we both bought on our holiday trip — a simple moment that became one of the sweetest memories we still cherish to this day.
Our story started in the most unexpected way. Back in sixth grade, we knew each other simply because we were in the same year, though in different classes. It began with adding each other on social media, exchanging short messages, and slowly getting closer — just simple chats and lighthearted talks that somehow turned into something more.
As time went by, we grew up together. By high school, the awkwardness was gone, replaced by warmth and comfort. We started spending more time together — chatting, have lunch during school breaks, and laughing over little things. Everything felt easy and genuine.
Then came the real challenge — After graduation, we had to live in two different cities — one of us moved to Jakarta for college while the other stayed in our hometown. That was the beginning of our six-year long-distance journey, until we finally got the chance to meet in jakarta. It wasn’t always easy, but we made it through with weekly video calls and stories that kept us close no matter the distance.
Time flew by so fast, and after all those years apart, we finally reached the moment we had both been waiting for.
On August 24th, 2024, we got engaged at one of the restaurant in Jakarta — just the two of us, no big setup, no crowd, just a simple moment filled with honesty and love.
It was one of those moments that was both funny and emotional. When one of us got down on one knee, the other froze for a few seconds — a mix of surprise, confusion, and joy all at once. We couldn’t help but laugh, and a few seconds later, we said the words that changed everything: “Yes, I do.” That night became one of the most unforgettable moments of our story.
After fifteen years of growing together, our journey is finally reaching its most beautiful chapter.
On November 30th, 2025, we’ll exchange our vows in a warm Buddhist blessing ceremony at Agave Hall, Alam Sutera — the place where two hearts that started their story as kids will finally unite as one.
Our story began with shy messages and childish affection, and has grown into a love that’s steady, mature, and full of gratitude. It wasn’t coincidence that brought us together — it was destiny. From a little school crush to a lifelong commitment, we’ve learned that true love doesn’t always arrive suddenly; sometimes, it grows slowly, hand in hand with time — and #STEPTOeternity
